Getting Around Side
Once you are at the apartment complex, it is a short walk to some local shops and restaurants. You can reach the beach and main strip of restaurants in 15 minutes. There is a tourist bus ‘Dolphin’ which runs to the beach area during high season.
You don’t really need to hire a car for the whole week, but it is relatively cheap and will give you the flexibility to make impromptu day trips to the host of archaeological and natural sites around the Antalya Manavgat region.
Antalya is worth a few hours, perhaps combined with your onward travel plans. Kaleici (old town) is nice to wander around and the archaeological museum is highly recommended. As well as the tram rides.
Get a dolmus (Turkish shared taxi) from Side to Manavgat (just up the road) from where there are buses running from Manavgat into Antalya all the time (1hr30 £10). From the Antalya Otogar bus terminal you can take the tram into town.
